How to easily measure your ring size yourself
Method 1: With an existing ring (most accurate)
- Choose a ring that fits well on the correct finger.
- Measure the inner diameter of the ring with a ruler or caliper.
- Compare the measured diameter with the table above. If the inner diameter is, for example, 17 mm, then you have ring size 17.
Method 2: With a string or paper strip
- Wrap a thin string or strip of paper around your finger.
- Mark where the ends meet.
- Measure the length in millimeters. This is the finger circumference.
- Find the corresponding circumference in the table. A circumference of 53 mm, for example, corresponds to ring size 17.
Useful tips
- Measure your fingers at the end of the day; they usually have their normal size then.
- Do not measure when your hands are very cold, as your fingers may be narrower then.
- Are you in doubt between two sizes? Then usually choose the larger size, especially for wider rings.
- Consider the knuckle: the ring should be able to slide over it smoothly, but then sit comfortably on the finger.
